If this is your first massage experience, please let your therapist know. After an introduction, you will fill out a short intake form to fill out and discuss your goals for massage therapy.
After the consultation, the therapist will leave the room and ask that you undress to your comfort level. Usually all clothes are taken off but some people opt to leave their under bottoms on.
You then get under the covers of the massage table. We will knock before entering to make sure that you are ready. After the massage begins, the therapist will periodically check in with you about massage pressure and overall comfort levels. Don’t be afraid to speak up! We are here to cater to your massage needs. The therapist will cover clients with sheets, towels and blankets to provide warmth, comfort and modesty. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered. Don’t forget to communicate with the therapist if you are uncomfortable with any of the draping procedures. We respect each person’s level of comfort.
At the conclusion of the massage, the therapist will leave the room to allow you to get dressed. For optimal results, it is recommended that you drink a significant amount of water after your session and to avoid immediately consuming alcohol. Results are usually best felt between 24 to 48 hours after the massage.
